Day Two:
We hope you are enjoying your stay here at Castle Writemore. To make the most out of your visit, you should keep your journal handy as you explore the castle.
Now, let's go down to the kitchen. You must be hungry!
(Imagine the you walk down the stairs to the kitchen. Stomp, stomp, stomp!)
This is where Chef Grumble and Chef Grub work. They run this enormous kitchen, and he can cook up whatever you would like to eat. But Chef Grumble is a little grumpy, and wants a lot of specific details so he knows exactly what to make.
In your journal, write a list of your favorite foods, that way the chefs can plan the perfect meal for you.

(You can also write about why you like these foods.Or you could even list the foods that you DON'T like.)

Teacher Tips...

Goal: Learners will list and/or describe their favorite foods. Optional goals may include describing what makes a "perfect meal." For the Bonus Question, learners are asked to consider the pros and cons of eating the "perfect meal" everyday.

Although grammar and sentence structure become very important as learners grow-up, the strategy of the "Castle Writemore" course is to find ways to make writing fun. With that in mind, parents and instructors may want to promote the generation of ideas and details, rather than focus on the many mistakes that can happen during the writing process.

With this in mind, you will notice that many of the "Castle Writemore" prompts provide the opportunity for learners to respond with words, phrases, and/or complete sentences.

If learners wish to write a lot of content on a prompt: excellent! If they are not inspired by a certain prompt, feel free to move onto the next day.
